The cottage is on Crystal Lake. We had a great time hanging out on the beach with our boys. There is a wonderful little bakery in Frankfort (Crescent Bakery) that we went to for coffee and pastries most mornings. Late afternoons and evenings were spent at the Big Lake, Point Betsie... We also went to Sleeping Bear and Traverse City - and the trip would not have been complete without a stop at the now famous (thanks to Martha Stewart) - Gwen Frostic Studio. The weather was amazing. It was a wonderful way to bring summer to an end as a family. Part II - the beach...to be posted soon. Wishing you all a happy end to summer! The boys went back to school today.
Those of you that read Dwell Magazine - check out pages 211 - 220 in the October issue. The photo on page 220 was taken near Crystal Lake. Kinda cool! :)

I love the 3 glass birds, they have such definition and aura, Reminds me of Kerry, Clinton and Kennedy, stuffing them selves with salami and crackers.
Oh to be a Demon Cat
Lots of Marushkas on the walls... you would love it! :)
