Behind closed doors...

These shots were not easy to get. I was shooting in really low light thru a small hole in a fence... the only clue to the world beyond the fence was a pile of empty cat food cans on the sidewalk. I have been here to shoot before -but this was the first time there were any cats... and there must have been a dozen... coming and going. There is a world beyond the fence.... a powerful world.

Oh... and did I mention that is was freezing cold... freeze your fingers off cold... yet it didn't seem to bother the cats!!! They make it look like it was a warm Spring day... It was all quite surreal

It seems a movie set about a bronx gang movie.. I think that's a ghetto or something like that isn't it?

poor cats, here someone build little refuges, expecially in the high part of the city where there is very cold temperatures during the winter.

you definitely captured the surrealism of the space. I love the colors, the mood.

the cat is the softness amongst the creative ruin, the image has a wild spirit yet strongly still?
