It is a dead pigeon. There were three of them on the sidewalk in front of a building that had very large plate glass windows. Very sad. Across from the building there were quite a few pigeons roosting ... I made a comment to my husband -I said don't you think they watch their friends fly into the window and die? Don't the get it??? I wonder how many die there in a day.
...at first I had these photos tucked in the previous post - poetically. My husband saw the post and said it was too long and that the photos that were not signs should go. Peer pressure!! I buckled. So here they are on their own. Think of them in conjunction with the previous post. :)

I'm not sure how to answer your 2nd question... the shot was taken while standing - looking at the ground.

i like the first one. very poetic....and I think it was a good choice to just make the previous post with the signs!
I was enjoying the monkeys and laughing out loud. Then came the pigeon. Poor thing.
