Peace

She passed away in her sleep this morning.... quietly and peacefully.
The sun is shining today and the sky is blue.
Thank you for your prayers.

Life passing...

Life is a strange and wonderful thing.
At this moment in time... there are no words
I am at the hospital.
My grandmother has said her goodbyes - she is ready to go.

Please pray that she passes quickly and peacefully. She has been fighting so hard - she is tired - and ready to go home...

Notes... to myself

I am thankful for sunshine and rain
for blue skies and grey
for friends and family - past, future, and present

I am thankful for work and for downtime
as it gives me time to reflect, reorder, and rejuvenate
-life is too short -downtime is important

I am thankful for children
they challenge us, keep us moving, show us what love is,
and teach us patience and grace

I am thankful for life and all of it's challenges
and am grateful that it comes at us one day at a time

trying to think spring

and the skies opened....

It is pouring outside this morning. No need for music as the drops sound their slow steady rhythm on the rooftop. A stop and take note kind of day. We move too fast and need to be reminded to slow down - to think of the past and the future.... one year ago - Today I remember.... as I watch the drops form on the barren branches outside my window - falling to the ground below in turn.... The snowdrops are just starting to bloom.

Milestone

It's my birthday today. I usually don't broadcast it but this year am feeling a little giddy about it. I don't know why... it just feels like it is going to be a good day - no expectations - just happy to have made it through another year. Oh and can't wait for the one to come. Have a great Day!

happy monday?

It is rainy and grey here. The snow is slowly melting only to make way for more to come. On days like today you have to make your own sunshine. How do you make sunshine on a cloudy day?
Had to bring a close friend and her cat to the animal hospital this morning - the test results will be back later today - not a fun start to the week.
