Inspiration from a friend...

"As I start my week, please enjoy this quote by Marianne Williamson while I stoke the flames of my spirit." -Tommy Allen

Thank you Tommy!!! Thank you for the inspiration.

XO

I so needed it!

Sandi

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?'

Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

..as I try to move ahead - and make some sense of my life and how to use my gifts. God given gifts... trying to walk forward with confidence and humility...

would love your input... how does one foster a healthy balance? between confidence and humility....

as someone who dwells far too much on his inadequacies, i'd say err on the side of confidence. someone or something will bring you up short if you go too far. however, i doubt you'll go too far. this is a great quote. i think Nelson Mandela used it once. it points out how selfish a fearful or insecure person can be, though.
